Most of the small movie theaters in Adirondack towns have managed to convert to digital projection. Major grants have made it possible as well as a coordinated regional effort. Some towns like Tupper Lake went their own way, as well.

5 Theaters Win REDC Grants to Help with Digital Conversions

Schroon Lake, Indian Lake, Ausable Forks, Glens Falls and the Strand in Plattsburgh all win grants to assist in their conversions.

NCREDC grant funding, and ANCAs GoDigital campaign help

Several theaters received REDC grants for the conversions. ANCA launched a Go Digital or Go Dark campaign. Other local effort were organized as well.

Indian Lake Theater Makes the Conversion

The theater in Indian Lake is a major town venue.  It has raised enough money to make the conversion to digital in June 2013
